PAVO QUE ABRIA Y CERRABA LA COLA, EL

This is the story of a peacock that receives an invitation to a party. He immediately begins to worry: “Will I have fun?” “Will I be bored?” “Will I know how to rise to the occasion?” He constantly asks himself these and many other questions. As a matter of fact, whenever anything comes up, he feels so perplexed that he needs to know the opinions of those around him. As a result, he often feels moody and has a hard time making decisions.
After receiving the invitation to the big party, the peacock can’t stop looking at his reflection in the lake. He wonders whether his beauty and gracious movements will be adequate for such a grand occasion...
Worried, he begins to consult with all the animals that cross his path. Finally, he meets two ugly and fowl smelling vultures, proud to be what they are. Only then does he begins to realize that if everyone has different opinions, perhaps what others think of us isn’t that important.
This amusing tale, written in rhyme and complemented by lovely illustrations, teaches children about self-esteem.
